Bad news hits the international MMA world, but especially Quebec: athlete Charles Jourdain is forced to withdraw from his fight against Ricky Simon at UFC Fight Night with Kamaru Usman and Joaquin Buckley .
It was on Monday, June 9th that we discovered the news, following the announcement by L'ArenaMMA . Jourdain did not receive authorization from his doctor to fight and will have to undergo minor surgery following his injury.
On his Instagram account , Charles Jourdain expressed his disappointment in a short video and explained the reason for his pull out of the fight.
This highly anticipated fight follows his last fight against Victor Henry, in which he scored a spectacular victory by Guillotine Choke and earned Performance of the Night. This fight was scheduled to be his second fight in the Bantamweight division. Charles Jourdain recently made the change and has hit the ground running! We will be keeping a close eye on his return to the octagon and will keep you updated!
